THE wedding of the century.

On Big Sis's wedding day i retreated into her lovely ensuite bathroom and vowed to God that i would never agree to be a bridesmaid again, so long as i wasn't sick down my dress from nerves and didn't trip on the carpet on the way down the isle. I can now no longer be a bridesmaid for anyone. phew.

So the day went brilliantly: Despite me being 100 times more nervous about this bridesmaid expedition than my own wedding day!

In many ways i feel like some of the most socially formative years of my life were spent feral, with a pack of 18 year old boys (a few years my senior) as role models. I therefore consequentially think that if you put on a clean pair of jeans, you instantly look smart, and that a hoodie only 2 sizes too big is smarter than one 4 sizes larger, and that if you drink wine you are gay. Hence my apprehension to demonstrate a 'scrubbed up for best' look for this important day for my Big Sis. The photo's will follow shortly, and i like to think that i blend in quite well with everyone. No-one would notice my lack of style and class.

In the mean time check out the photographers blog.

The day was brilliantly sunny and radiant and the weather was only over-shadowed in warmth by the speeches and sentiments of the day; two family's immensely proud of their offspring joining together. It was lovely and so beautiful. Now i have an awesome brother-in-law and guaranteed adventures for the future.

I'm Jonesin' For New Lingo

One of my goals in life is to develop a hybrid language where i amalgamate all words i like into my vocabulary and espouse the most accurate sentences attuned to my inner thoughts.

However i am hindered by the need to alter my language to reflect the words the people i speak to use. So this will have to be a speak language i speak only to myself; I think its vitally important that you meet someone on their level, to show that you are listening and understand. Just like you change your body language unconsciously to mirror someone else's when you are in sync.

So anywho here are my newest wants:

- Jonesing - i think this means yearning or wanting
- Lets roll- lets go
- who's rolling? - who else is coming?
-awesome - yep.

More importantly I spoke with Leo today in Gambia. He seemed happy and proudly recited the whole alphabet to me, and then started on his numbers. Luckily he was stopped before he got to '4 elephants' (he can go up to '100 elephants'):) i cant believe how different he is, he's got a small African accent and i cant picture how he must look. Fingers crossed that his dad has got him a cool new haircut - cornrows or bob the builder shaved into his head. He is a dude.

Leo looking smug because he already knows how many of those damn annoying hundred's and thousands have fallen on the floor and got into numerous cracks into which they will melt in a sticky mess he can poke at later.

Honestly's back!

Tx is back. Yippee. Its been a long time coming, seems like I've been waiting forever. But along with voting fun, came Tx. I don't know what i would do without all my great friends who hold me up and keep me ticking along.

Here is my favourite picture of Tx:

We already did several of my favourite things 1) drinking copious amounts of tea, 2) laughing too much on buses in a way that is annoying if you are not involved and are trying to tolerate a boring bus journey, but the best when you are in on the joke and have forgotten that a bus is mundane and life draining normally, 3) talking so much one of you actually has to say several times whilst already in bed, in the dark, 'yeah, I'm actually going to sleep now', 4) buying something that fits and looks nice, which i am only capable of doing if i have someone with me to bully me into doing it 5) sleeping in comfy beds with long lay ins 6) eating Macaroni cheese.

knock knock

Knock knock.
Who's there?
I done up.
I done up who?

Seriously, such a good joke. Even better when people say over and over again, I done up who? I done up who?
